SOUTHEAST ASIA

Some tribal people in Papua used to live at war with the tribes around them. They believed in using spirits to win wars against other tribes. Many of them have decided to follow Jesus and peace is growing in their region. Now they share the gospel with the Tribes they used to kill.

SOUTH AMERICA

There are some tribes of people living in the jungles of South America. They worship wooden idols and believe that spirits can heal them if they worship them and pray to them. God is working in their lives to heal them and show them the way to follow Jesus.

AFRICAN TRIBE

Tribal groups in Africa are often hard to reach because of sickness and harsh conditions. God is using bible studies in small villages to spread the gospel among these Tribal groups. African people are becoming passionate evangelists as they share what God has done in their lives.

about the Tarahumara people

WHERE THEY LIVE

The Tarahumara people live in the Mexican state if Chihuahua. They are often secluded from other Mexican populations and live in isolation in the Sierra Madre Mountain Range.

WHAT THEY NEED

Many Tarahumara people have never heard the gospel. They need people who are willing to earn their trust, learn their language, and tell them about Jesus. They also need clean water and basic healthcare.

HOW THEY LIVE

Because of their isolation, the Tarahumara people live without many basic necessities such as clean water, education, and medical aid. One major aspect of their lives is the corn beer that they make, sell, and consume.

HOW TO PRAY

Pray that the Tarahumara people would learn to trust the missionaries living among them. Pray that they would accept medical treatments that can improve their families health and well being. Pray that as missionaries teach them to read and write through bible stories, the Tarahumara people would believe in Jesus and be freed to live abundant lives.

WHAT THEY BELIEVE

Tarahumara people live in fear of spells and curses. They believe that their misfortunes are the result of witchdoctors or bad omens. They perform a common ritual called Yumari to appease their god and other spirits.

WHAT TO GIVE
