Tribal people often live in small villages in parts of the world that are hard to get to, including the mountains and jungles of South America, Africa and Southeast Asia. They are very skilled at understanding the world around them, building their own homes, hunting and farming the land in small jungle plots. They are fearful of spirits that control things that happen around them, a belief called “animism.” Sometimes tribal people worship family members who have lived before them. Stories are told within families and communities, and these stories are used to pass along the beliefs and customs of tribal people. Watch the video above to find out more about Tribal people.
